What’s New – April 2026

We’ve been busy behind the scenes getting ready for some public Orchard Core sites and giving the platform a few tune-ups. No big headline features this time — just a steadier, smarter platform underneath you.

A Smarter AI Assistant

The AI assistant we launched in February has been upgraded to Google’s Gemini 3. Same dashboard, same read-only access — just noticeably sharper answers when you ask about your site’s health, logs, or performance.

Cleaner Admin Sessions

If you’ve ever had the “you’re signed in but wp-admin says you’re not” moment, that’s mostly sorted now. We’ve added two small tools for when Google’s session cookies get out of sync:

  • An admin ↻ link next to each site in the dashboard — one click starts a fresh session.
  • A WPOps — logout item in the WordPress admin bar (under your user dropdown) that cleanly clears the platform login cookie.

Small thing, but one less bit of friction when you’re just trying to get into wp-admin.

Steadier Caching

The Memcached layer that speeds up your pages now runs at a higher scheduling priority in the cluster. In plain English: when servers are under load or restarting, the cache keeps running instead of getting elbowed out. Fewer cold caches, fewer slow page loads right after a platform update.

Earlier Warnings

We now get alerted when any site starts producing unusually high log volume — usually an early sign of a plugin or theme misbehaving. Means we often spot things before they turn into visible problems, and can reach out before you notice.

Coming Soon

The first public Orchard Core sites are lined up to go live shortly — more on that once they’re out in the world. As always, if there’s something you’d like to see, just ask.
